Dr. Lindsey Takacs
Dr. Lindsey Takacs grew up in New Paltz, New York. She was an active 4-H member for over 10 years, raising and showing many species of animals at the Ulster County Fair. She attended SUNY Ulster in Stone Ridge, NY to earn her associates degree in Veterinary Technology. While working as a licensed veterinary technician, she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in biology from SUNY New Paltz.
She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies. Throughout veterinary school, she was an active student member of AABP and AASRP, providing care to native island cows, sheep, and goats. She completed her veterinary clinical training at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family, and pets, including cat Knox, adopted from St. Kitts, and dogs Eleanor and Bugsy, adopted from the Canine Educators program at Purdue University.
Dr. Takacs looks forward to providing care to many species in the community. She is excited to be a member of the Catskill Veterinary Services mixed animal team!
