Janis McGill, DVM

Dr. Janis grew up in Northwest Pennsylvania. She earned her bachelors degree in biology and animal science from the University of Findlay. She received her doctorate of veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While in school she was involved in epidemiological and environmental research. She was an active member of the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative and involved in community outreach and engagement. Dr. Janis has an interest in pathology, and preventative medicine.

Dr. Janis came to the area to experience everything the beautiful Hudson Valley has to offer. She loves to hike, bike, kayak, be involved in her community, and relax at home with her two cats George, and Ginny. Since Dr. Janis has a wide array of interests, and background with many species, she cares for cats, dogs, exotics, livestock, and horses. She is excited to be a member of the Catskill Veterinary Services mixed animal team!
