Live, Work, and Play Here!

Since the 19th-century visitors have flocked to our Sullivan Catskills. Hundreds of hotels and resorts grew forming a legendary reputation for hospitality and launching the careers of major entertainers – Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, and Joan Rivers to name a few.

The Beaverkill and Willowemoc – and the Delaware river drew anglers from all over the world. In 1969, half a million visitors came to Bethel for three days of peace, love, and music at the Woodstock Music and Art Festival.

Our natural environment is still pure and easily accessible. The resorts now include a family oriented hotel and golf center, a destination spa, and a major casino-entertainment complex coming next spring. Smaller B&B’s, cottages, and boutique lodging are attracting singles, couples and families to a relaxed recreation and restoration experience. The Woodstock nation brings their families home to a world-class entertainment and education center at the preserved concert site. Eagles soar over the fall palette of leaves on the Delaware Scenic Byway – voted best in the Northeast by USA Today. Our farms provide local fare to our restaurants and wineries, microbrews and distilleries are raising everyone’s spirits. And, every April the trout become cooperative on opening day.
